Students will learn how to make classic yeast doughnuts so delicious that dunking them into a cup of joe would be a crime. Students will create their own doughnut combinations, loaded with creamy custards and fresh fruit fillings and topped with chocolate and fondant glazes, plus they will transform that same yeast dough into delicious fruit fritters. For those who long for the type of treat often sold at apple farms and farmers’ markets, they will also mix up apple cider doughnuts, leavened with baking soda and rolled in cinnamon or powdered sugar. After this four-hour session, they will never want to eat store-bought doughnuts again.
