Each year the Wex brings filmlovers of all ages a long weekend of incredible movies for all ages from all over the world: fiction and documentary, live action and animation, features and shorts. Special family events are also part of the schedule, often involving special guests or activities.

This year, one of the festival’s highlights is sure to be JUMP!—an inspiring, dramatic, and entertaining documentary about competitive jump rope. Forget whatever notions you have about this childhood pastime. The kids in this film make jumping rope part extreme sport and part art form as their mind-boggling moves are expertly choreographed and bursting with rhythm, sweat, and originality. The film follows five teams of kids—including two teams from Ohio—who push their physical and psychological limits in pursuit of a world championship.
