In The Process of... is a beautifully crafted new duet in which a man and woman negotiate a series of endings, rather than a single unfolding narrative leading to on inevitable finale. 60 wooden hoops dramatically help and hinder the couple's reationship on stage - and even at times become the protagonists...

The piece draws upon Conlon Nancarrow's compositional structures and studies into the effect of film figure movement and genre recognition. Dimitriou attempts to weight the quality of the human body againist the quality of objects, sound, light and word. Bymanipulating movement parameters and playing with myth of 'the quest', a play of two emerges as a series of intermezzos to a story never told.
