Zipcar Hosts Drive-In Event to Receive Car Donations for Local Charity
Attendees are encouraged to “Drive-In, but not Drive-Out” of the Screening

WASHINGTON, DC (November 28, 2007)--Zipcar, the world's largest car sharing service, today announced that it will host a Drive-In movie event, in the hopes that attendees will drive in, but not drive out of the screening. The event will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m., at Landmark’s E Street Cinema.

Washingtonians will be able to "Drive-In" their vehicles and donate them to benefit The Washington Area Bicycling Association (WABA), a non-profit that works to create a healthy, more livable region by promoting bicycling for fun, fitness, and affordable transportation. Donors will become members of Zipcar for life, and receive $500 driving credit towards their account.

Guests will enjoy a free screening of National Geographic’s, “Arctic Tale,” a documentary that has been 15 years in the making and follows the lives of animals in the arctic while examining the dangers of global warming. This movie will be released on DVD on December 4, 2007. The program will also include a special presentation honoring car donors for their contribution to WABA.
