“The effortless art of Foot Shiatsu.” In this workshop student will be introduced to “floor style” foot and knee Shiatsu techniques and will learn how to perform a complete barefoot and knee Shiatsu treatment. Using the feet and knees in treatment provides the therapist with powerful yet gentle techniques that are sure to enhance any type of floor work.

Foot Shiatsu can be invigorating for extremely relaxing depending on the techniques employed. Knowledge of foot, knee and other standing techniques allow the therapist to change posture and alternate from the standard thumb pressure applied in many Shiatsu treatments. When used correctly the feet and knees can provide safe and effective treatment to broad or dense areas of the body which are often difficult to treat.

This workshop will explain the benefits of using the knees and feet for both the patient and the practitioner. Students will learn how to treat many body areas using the appropriate amount of knee and foot pressure.
