The Zamir Chorale celebrates its 50th anniversary on Sunday, October 31, with a 3:30 p.m. concert at Carnegie Hall conducted by Director Matthew Lazar with a guest appearance by Stanley Sperber, founder of the Zamir Chorale. The nostalgic program features 50 years of the Chorale’s greatest hits, the most popular pieces in its wide-ranging repertoire of Jewish music in the folk, classical, liturgical and modern traditions. Current choral members will be joined by alumni who have performed with the chorale during its illustrious history as well as by the next generation of singers in HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir. Tickets may be purchased at the Carnegie Hall box office at 57th and Seventh Ave., NY, by calling 212.247.7800, or online at http://www.carnegiehall.org.
