Yunte Huang will discuss his latest work 'Charlie Chan: The Untold Story of the Honorable Detective and his Rendezvous with American History.' Huang will discuss the history of the legendary detective and his place in American culture through biographic, literary, and cinematic sources. Huang's exploration also displays how these sources consequently led to some of America's most distorted perceptions of Asian and Asian Americans. A book signing follows.
