Cambridge Community Activities Program
Dates: April 16th - May 21st

The spring soccer program is a coed program, open to all children ages K-8. Games will be played
on Saturday mornings. Practices will be held for the different teams at the discretion of the
respective coaches. The players will be contacted by the coaches as to their team assignment. All
games will be played at the Cambridge Elementary School soccer fields.

K-1 Soccer - At this level children will have the opportunity to play small-sided soccer. They will
learn basic fundamentals of soccer, receive positive encouragement, and have fun.

2-3 Soccer - Coaches will emphasize ball coordination, basic skill development, teamwork, and having fun. Children will play 8-sided soccer with goalies and referees.

4-5 Soccer - The program at this level will build on skill development while introducing technical
aspects of the game and scoring goals. The coaches will focus on improving each player's
knowledge of the game, encouraging them to learn techniques of the game.

6-8 Soccer - New this spring, middle school students will have the option to play soccer
recreationally in Cambridge. The focus of the program will be to give participants a chance to play a sport they love, improve their skills, and have fun.

**All players are required to wear shin guards and appropriate footwear. There is a two-fee limit
for families with additional children. Anyone needing special fee consideration should contact the activities office to make arrangements.
