You're Back - What's Next? Using Your Post 9/11 Veteran Education Benefit August 15, 2012

A college degree can help open new career pathways and ease the transition to civilian life for returning veterans. Unfortunately, while the educational benefits offered through the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill can help defray the costs of returning to school, the process can appear daunting for many due to the complex requirements.

In this informational webinar, the first in a series for veterans hosted by the Excelsior College Center for Military Education, financial aid/veterans affairs specialists from Excelsior College and Howard Community College as well as the New York education liaison from the Department of Veteran Affairs, will provide a rundown of the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and answer frequently asked questions. In addition, two veterans on a path to degree completion will discuss their experiences, how they overcame challenges and discovered positives of the college application process.
