Robert Schimmel has always proudly been one of the most controversial comedians around, and on January 28th through 30th, you’ll get to see him in all his glory! Whether you know Schimmel from one of his many TV appearances, or from his recent rebirth doing comedy as a cancer survivor, you’ll love watching him work his magic on the Comix stage.

Early in his career, Schimmel had several buzzworthy performances at the Edinburgh Festival and the Just for Laughs Festival, which led to editorial pieces in Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, and Playboy Magazine. He’s a regular on several shows, including The Howard Stern Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, on which he has appeared seven times! He also has several Comedy Central Specials as well as an HBO special.

In 2000, Schimmel was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He quit comedy to devote his time to battling the disease full time, and is now in complete remission. He spends his time now raising money for entertainment for people battling cancer, but don’t think he’s lost his edge! His most recent album, Life Since Then, and most recent book, Cancer on $5 a Day, show that this filthy funny man can find laughs in any situation.
