Hawthorne Heights formed in Dayton, Ohio in 2001 and built a strong following across the U.S. via repeated self-booked tours. The band was one of the first visionary acts to embrace social networking as a powerful tool in building an audience, and, to this day, continues to maintain a level of accessibility to the fans via these platforms. Their debut album, The Silence In Black And White, was certified platinum for sales of 1,000,000 copies by the RIAA. The follow-up, If Only You Were Lonely, had an impressive debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 in 2006, going on to sell over a half-million copies and receiving gold certification. Hawthorne Heights recorded a third, and final album, for Victory Records in August 2008 titled Fragile Future. The band signed to Wind-up in February 2009.

As the voice of a genre, the band became regulars on MTV, their signature hit Ohio Is For Lovers the anthem for the new wave of "emo". The band appeared on Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel, and became magazine cover stars, sending sales of The Silence... to Platinum status.

Matt and James write all types of music from country to rock and everything in between. ViFolly's show is great for all ages.

The Getaways is a group Maryland-based rockers have accomplished and achieved more than most local bands can say, with no intention of slowing down. Up and down the Mid-Atlantic region, the band has shared bills and directly supported noteworthy acts such as We The Kings (S-Curve Records), Mayday Parade (Atlantic Records), Hawthorne Heights( Wind-Up Records), Cash Cash (Univeral Republic) and Jeffree Star (Popsicle Records), just to name a few.

Between the two releases, The Getaways have been featured in Substream Magazine, on Baltimore's 98 Rock (97.9 FM) radio station, and even signed a licensing deal with ESPN to have four songs off the first record featured during the 2010 Lacrosse season. However, the band's inclusion on the Maryland date of the 2010 Vans Warped Tour and the opportunity to tour the East Coast late in the summer of 2010 with Just Surrender (Razor & Tie Records) only foreshadows things to come for The Getaways in the future.
