Sophisticated, multi-talented Canadian singer/songwriter/producer/performer Parvati brings to 7th Heaven Yoga Center, 2820 Seventh Street, Berkeley, her luscious songs, soundscapes and powerhouse dance anthems as a sonic offering to the Divine Mother.

Parvati broke into the electronic scene spearheading the Post New Age genre with the boundary-breaking independent success hit song "Yoga in the Nightclub". The track now leads off a new album of songs that range from heart-melting devotional sweetness to fierce dance grooves.

This album, created as a salutation to the yoga community of which Parvati is a part, displays her musical mastery, with electronic tracks that feel organically alive, catchy pop songs and beautiful feel-good ballads that you could easily hear on the radio, and lyrics that borrow from an ancient yogic tradition. The music and her angelic singing voice inspire people to live a life of interconnection and peace.

Parvati is on an extensive ten-week tour of the United States promoting the release of “YIN: Yoga in the Nightclub”. Parvati is a devoted yogini and activist who travelled to the magnetic North Pole to give the northernmost musical performance ever to raise awareness of the melting polar ice caps. She is concurrently promoting her new DVD and CD “YEM: Yoga as Energy Medicine” on this US tour. Parvati will be touring her larger-scale show “Natamba”, that has been likened to “Madonna meets Cirque du Soleil”, internationally through 2012 and 2013.

Parvati will perform “YIN: Yoga in the Nightclub” at 7th Heaven Yoga Center, 2820 Seventh Street, Berkeley, on June 9th, 2012 at 8pm. The concert is an invitation for people to join together in song, in dance and in meditation to allow the music to move through you and express itself in a way that feels connected and alive. It is a positive possibilities community gathering that celebrates the gift of life, the grace of being children of Mother Earth and the reality that we are all one earth family.
