Yoga Immersion! is Barefoot Movement's 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Certification Course, held in Downtown Oakland and Berkeley.

Yoga Immersion! is registered with Yoga Alliance. This means that upon graduating, you may submit your certificate to Yoga Alliance for Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) status. Yoga Alliance is the recognized organization for setting standards for yoga schools and teachers in the United States and abroad.

New Yoga Immersion! programs begin every January and May.

Classes are led by Leah Gillman with Carrie Adams and Guests.

Leah & Carrie guide Yoga Immersion! students into their teaching in the same fashion that they guide yoga students into their poses - with grounding, ease, play, investigation, and self-discovery.

Schedule:
Classes are held every other Wednesday evening, 12 Saturday afternoons and every Sunday morning with some exceptions, see the website for the complete calendar.

Topics Covered: As per Yoga Alliance guidelines
Techniques Training/Practice: asanas and far beyond... Guided practice of yoga techniques and how to teach them. This category makes up 50% of the total hours.
Teaching Methodology: observation, demonstration, corrections, hands-on adjustments, teaching style, basic Sanskrit and more.
Anatomy and Physiology: The physical and the energetic bodies, common problems and therapeutics.
Yoga History and Philosophy: The lineage and how it shows up in one's practice, teaching and daily life.
Practicum: Practice, practice, practice! There will be many teaching opportunities with feedback throughout the year.

Tuition:
$2,100 = $175/month
Early Bird Discount: $1750 if paid in full by March 21st.
