Yerba Buena Gallery Walk June 4, 2011

Saturday June 4, 1pm to 6pm (reception from 6pm-7:30pm)

On Saturday June 4th, from 1-6pm, 16 art galleries in the Yerba Buena Neighborhood will join together to publicly celebrate the area's diverse artistic offerings. Visitors are invited to explore the art galleries in the vicinity between Market and Harrison, and 2nd and 5th Streets, interact with other art lovers, enjoy complimentary refreshments and engage with the art on exhibit.

June 4th marks the seventh Yerba Buena Gallery Walk, organized by the Yerba Buena Alliance. The first Gallery Walk in 2007 included 6 participating galleries and 500 visitors; in the years that have followed, the event has nearly tripled the number of participating galleries (16) and welcomed as many as 4,500 visitors in a single afternoon.

The Yerba Buena Gallery Walk offers free admission, ample opportunities to experience art in the neighborhood, and free easy-to-follow maps available at each gallery and online at www.yerbabuena.org/gallerywalk. All are invited to join in a celebratory reception that evening at 6pm at Frey Norris.

Convenience note: All of the 16 participating galleries are within 4 blocks of each other.
