Created by Popsmear, the goal of the Yellow Umbrella Tour is to bring awareness and information to women around the country about cervical cancer and the virus that causes it, HPV.

The tour's name comes from "Harold and Maude," the movie released in 1971 about a 79 year old woman (Maude) who lives life to the fullest, and teaches a young man (Harold) how to do the same. For Maude, every sight, sound, touch, taste, was a new and exciting experience. In one scene, she is marching through a cemetery in the rain, with a bounce in her step, and a yellow umbrella in hand. This symbol of strength, individuality and spirit inspired Christine to return to the piano after her battle with cancer, and to move forward with courage and determination.
