Yachats Affordable Housing Ready for June Occupancy March 23, 2009

Fisterra Gardens is a newly constructed 25 unit housing rental property located in the City of Yachats on a 1.21 acre parcel of land north of the existing Sea-Aire Assisted Living Center and east of Highway 101. The units are scheduled for occupancy in late June. Fisterra Gardens Apartments will offer eight 690 square foot one bedroom/one bath units, and 17 two bedroom/one bath units of 850 square feet. The apartments will be operated by the Housing Authority of Lincoln County. Families must be income eligible to be qualified to live at Fisterra Gardens. The minimum monthly income required is one and a half times the monthly rent. Renatl rates are set at $389 for the one bedroom units, and $520 for the two bedroom units. There are also maximum income limits. The Yachats Affordable and Workforce Housing Committee and the Housing Authority of Lincoln County are sponsoring an information session to be held in Yachats on Monday, March 23 at 7:00 pm in Room 8 of the Yachats Commons. There will be additional information about floor plans, amenities, guidelines, and application requirements. Applications will also be available for the first time on this date.
