Xbox 360 is Microsoft's successor to their Xbox video game console, previously referred to during development as "Project Xenon," "Xbox 2," or "Xbox Next." The console will be released on November 22, 2005 in North America (two days before Thanksgiving and three days before the biggest shopping day of the year), December 2 in Europe, December 10 in Japan and elsewhere in 2006.
