Fall head over heels in love with a rollicking Broadway parody starring Greek goddesses on roller skates. DOMA Theatre Company goes retro with Xanadu, the musical based on the 1980 cult film. In this ingenious send-up of the Olivia Newton-John/Gene Kelly film (which in turn was based on Rita Hayworth’s 1947 film, Down to Earth), Greek muse Clio descends from Mt. Olympus to help struggling artist Sonny Malone achieve his dream of opening a roller disco. But there’s trouble in Olympian paradise when, disguised as Australian roller girl Kira, Clio falls in forbidden love with the mortal Sonny and risks eternal banishment to the underworld by her jealous and conniving sisters.

A hilarious, roller-skating musical phenomenon about following your dreams and believing in magic, Xanadu spins to an original hit score composed by pop-rock legends Jeff Lynne and John Farrar with classic feel-good songs like “Magic,” “All Over the World,” “Suddenly,” “I’m Alive,” “Evil Woman,” “Have You Never Been Mellow” and the title song, “Xanadu.”
