Event Details:
The X Avant festival wraps up Sunday night at Wavelength, the weekly Toronto indie institution held at Sneaky Dee's. Our special guests this evening are Dirty Projectors, the musical entity led by New Haven, CT singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Longstreth. The DP's make manic freak-folk, as best evidenced on 2006's New Attitude EP (Marriage Records), and in concert this past May at the MG for the Over the Top Festival.

The opening set of music is entitled Blip, and is curated by Continuum Music. Blips and beeps: Continuum presents warped works by sonic alchemist John Oswald (Toronto) and phonographic obsessive Nick Brooke (USA). Featuring Continuum’s Ryan Scott and Graham Hargrove (percussion) with the riveting Susanna Hood and singer Corey Dargel, "an innovator both challenging and catchy" (Time Out New York).
