Author, poet, storyteller and teacher Opal Palmer Adisa presents a writing workshop for adults.

Are ready to start writing? If you have an idea or story that you have always wanted to write, if you know that your story can help and move others, then its time to begin!

Through a series of exercises that help you to release your fear, Opal will lead you to discover what ideas you have been incubating and how to retrieve, translate and write them.

Dr. Opal Palmer Adisa, Jamaica-born, is a sought-after speaker and an award-winning poet and prose writer who has published eleven books. Alice Walker, author of The Color Purple has described her work as "solid, visceral, important stories written with integrity and love."

A compassionate teacher, literary critic, and proud mother of three , Opal is the parenting editor and host of KPFA Radio Parenting show. Dr. Adisa is a professor of creative writing and literature at California College of the Arts and has taught at several universities including Stanford University and UC Berkeley.
