Janet Malcolm speaks about her new biography of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas: Two Lives: Gertrude and Alice with Wendy Lesser, the founding editor of The Threepenny Review, and the editor of Hiding in Plain Sight: Essays in Criticism and Autobiography. Malcolm is a staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Silent Woman: Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, Psychoanalysis: The Impossible Profession, and Inside the Freud Archives.
