Overview:

The web is full of poor-quality content that is vague, uses too much jargon or complex language, and provides little in the way of useful information. This confuses, frustrates and annoys people.

This workshop will give you a good overview of the techniques that will make your web content more effective.

The workshop complements the Vision Australia Web Accessibility Workshops.

Outline:

The workshop is a full-day introduction to writing for the web. It focuses on improving the usefulness and usability of online content.

The workshop is divided into three main sections - plan, create, evaluate - though most of the day is spent on techniques for creating content. An introduction sets the scene by focusing on how web content is created and used.
