Award-winning reading series Writers With Drinks returns, with an extra nerd-tastic lineup of science fiction, fantasy and video games. Plus amazing poetry and deadpan comedy.

How much: $3 to $5 sliding scale, all proceeds benefit the CSC.

About the readers/performers:

Jay Lake won the John W. Campbell Award for best new science fiction writer. He's published three novels: Mainspring, Escapement and Madness Of Flowers, with five more on the way. He's also published over 200 short stories.

Camille T. Dungy is the author of What to Eat, What to Drink, What to Leave for Poison. She was a finalist for the PEN Center USA 2007 Literary Award and the Library of Virginia 2007 Literary Award. She's also received fellowships from organizations including the National Endowment for the Arts, The Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Dana Award, and Bread Loaf.

Damon Brown is the author of Porn And Pong: How Grand Theft Auto, Tomb Raider And Other Sexy Games Changed Our Culture. He's written about video games and sex for Playboy, Alternet, the New York Post and Planet Out.

Cat Rambo is the co-author, with Jeff VanderMeer, of The Surgeon's Tale And Other Stories. Her stories have appeared in Asimov's, Weird Tales, Clarkesworld and Strange Horizons. She's the co-editor of Fantasy Magazine.

Steve Ferris has performed at the Punchline, the Comedy Store, Scott's Comedy Club, Winners Casino and the High Desert Inn. He was suspended from high school for three days for a comedy performance at a talent show.
