Poetry Reading with Open Mic. Feature is Max Gibson, the popular poet and teacher of English and creative writing at Washtenaw Community College. Max strives in her poetry to make sense of her dreams, and says poetry lets her be a tourist in her own town, her own life—surprised and enchanted by what has always belonged to her. As a teacher, she is constantly fed stories that inspire her. She will fascinate and feed you inspiration as she reads. Open mic follows. 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, 123 W. Washington St. FREE. 369-2798
