Ultimate Frisbee is a fast- paced team sport similar to netball, played on a rugby sized field and with a 'disk' or 'frisbee' as it is commonly known, rather than a ball.

The World Ultimate Club Championships is held every four years and involves teams from Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa and Australia and New Zealand.

This is the first time that this week-long event has been held in the Southern Hemisphere.
The competition is being played at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Sports Park, opposite Challange Stadium, with finals to be held at the Leederville Football Stadium.
