Timescape Arts Group, with the support of the Japanese American National Museum, presents a new play by Japanese American playwright Ken Narasaki (The Mikado Project, Ghosts and Baggage), called INNOCENT WHEN YOU DREAM.
INNOCENT opens on October 6th at the Electric Lodge in Venice. The play takes place in 2007 and 1947.
A Nisei man lies in a hospital bed, dreaming of a
woman he once knew but could never have. Actor and
activist George Takei called it “…one of the most
moving things I’ve ever seen. I hope it finds the
broadest possible audience…it’s funny, it’s sad, it’s
important, it’s beautiful…I’m passionately in love
with this play.”

Alberto Isaac directs, Emily Kuroda and Sharon Omi
star.

The play runs October 6th – October 28th at the
Electric Lodge, 1416 Electric Avenue, Venice, CA.
There is secured parking on the premises, and the
theatre is handicapped accessible. For driving
directions, go to www.electriclodge.org.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm
with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3 pm. Tickets
are $20 general admission, $18 for seniors and
students, $15 for groups of 10 or more. For more
information, call (310) 592-1160.
