1 Market Street
San Francisco, California

This is our Third Annual World Naked Bike Ride - Southern Hemisphere edition in San Francisco. Last year we had our largest turnout ever in the 2 years of riding bare through the streets of the city in support of our bare brethren on the other side of the equator. It was also our warmest day for a ride, even warmer than the main June ride with temperatures in the 70's. It is time to bring your bikes to Justin Herman Plaza between Market Street & the Embarcadero Blvd and participate in this international protest of our dependency on the evil oil cartels.

We meet on the northeast side of Vaillancourt Fountain, between the fountain and Embarcadero Blvd at 11 AM. Bring body paints, washable markers, watercolors or other easily removed media to apply slogans and designs to your bodies if you wish. Our meeting time permits you about an hour to do paint, prep your bikes with signs and meet with old and new friends.

While it is a "naked" bike ride, all are welcome; it's ride as bare as you dare. That is, body paint, rubber latex, bikinis, topless, lingerie, bubble pack, whatever costume you are comfortable riding with.

Our ride is part of a global protest taking place today in many cities throughout the US, Europe and other cities in the Northern Hemisphere. Tens of thousands of naked bike riders are protesting the global dependency of our society and economies at the hands of the oil cartels. We want to emphasize the harm this dependency causes to our environment, businesses and social lives. Nobody is unaffected. We want to endorse more bike riding and our nudity expresses our vulnerability to these matters. It also draws attention to our cause.

We will ride through many popular spots in the city such as Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, along Embarcadero by AT&T Park, the Civic Center, and many more places of interest. It's great fun and an event you shouldn't miss.

If weather is outstanding and enough riders are willing, we will conduct an ENCORE WNBR ride the next day, Sunday March 11.
