The 2012 World Music Award nominations are in, and once again Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift top the list of country stars up for awards.

Aldean leads the pack of country stars with six nominations, including Best Male Artist and World’s Best Entertainer of the Year. Swift also has six, and Underwood is running a close second with five nods. Both of the powerhouse female country stars are up for Best Female Artist, Best Video, Best Song and Best Album. Swift is up for World’s Best Entertainer of the Year as well. Blake Shelton, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban have also scored at least one nomination.

The nominees are chosen by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry in order to honor the top-selling artists all over the globe.

The World Music Awards will take place at the Marlins Stadium in Miami on Dec. 22. The show will broadcast in more than 160 countries, bringing the estimated total of viewers up to one billion.
