World Hunger Relief aims to raise funds and awareness about the ongoing issue of hunger worldwide.

KFC and Pizza Hut stores nationally are supporting the 2010 campaign and aim to raise $1 million for the World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide.

Australian KFC and Pizza Hut stores have raised over $2 million for the World Food Programme and parent company YUM! has raised over US$60 million internationally. On behalf of KFC and Pizza Hut Australia, YUM! will make an initial donation of $50,000 to kick-start the campaign

Customers are encouraged to show their support by making a gold coin donation at their local KFC or Pizza Hut store, purchasing merchandise including photo magnets, wristbands and pens in-store or donating via the global campaign website www.fromhungertohope.com or the Facebook page www.facebook.com/WorldHungerReliefAustralia

Each year, the WFP feeds an average of 90 million people in more than 70 countries.
