World Comedy Jam @ Listen & Be Heard
7:00 PM - Open Mic for comics (6:30 sign up-space is limited)
8:00 PM - Stand-up Comedy Showcase
7:00- 8:00 pm Open Mic
Sign-ups start at 6:30 - show starts promptly at 7:00. See comics come from near and far to bring comedy to Vallejo. See people try stand up for the very first time. See comics try brand new material for the very first time. See all levels of experience and diversity in content and comics. For comics - be there by 6:30 and get on the list. Simple as that. Most sets are 5 minutes, brand new comics get 3.

8:00- 9:00 pm
This is a pre-booked showcase of comics that either travel from a long way or local comics that have been working the open mic and the audience has consistently enjoyed. Set times will range from 5-15 minutes and the headliner will typically perform 20-30 minute sets.

Headliners are booked fairly close to the performance date because many of the comics that headline often get called to do full weeks at venues like the Punch Line at the last minute. You will also get to see comics give their very first headline performance. See if you can tell the difference.

To be booked for the showcase or for any questions/ comments regarding the show, please email Julie Anderson at [email protected]. To get weekly updates to find out who the headliners and other performers are, get on the mailing list by sending an email to [email protected] and simply put in the subject line: "add me". Please note: The shows are uncensored, which means that we allow comics to say what they want to say in the language and style that they want to say it. The last thing we want to do is offend people, so we offer this warning and ask that people come with an open mind. We invite you to be a part of the live performance, either on stage, or from the audience. Leave that TV alone and come find the artists in the flesh and talk the them about what they do. Believe me - this is better than the tube - there is nothing like being in the room.
