Explore the symbolism and traditions of Nowruz, a holiday with its roots in Zoroastrianism -- the religion of ancient Iran. Nowruz, celebrated in a large number of countries around the world, marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the New Year. Nazneen Spliedt, President of Zarthoshti Anjuman of Northern California, will discuss the significance of Nowruz traditions. The IF reception is a great opportunity to meet people who enjoy learning about and discussing world affairs and the Council.
