Workshop/Presentation - Music in foreign language learning. MMB presents, a workshop for German Teachers current and future. The workshop will deal with the role of music and songs in the methodology and practice of foreign language learning, specifically for German as a foreign language (GAFL). Traditional and modern music offer interesting aspects for their specific use in language courses.The topics covered will include:Different music styles, types of songs and learner groups.Music-based learning in GAFL.Creating exercises and activities with songs/music.Songs and music in project work.Rhythm and language.Criteria to select music for my language lessons.Strategies for (Internet) research on music.Trainers: Neela Tatu; Almut Brunnert.Prerequisite: Excellent knowledge of the German language.
