*Weekend workshops at the Tibetan Nyingma Institute offer fresh insights in a gentle, meditative atmosphere. Workshop participants may arrange to stay overnight at the Institute.

*The Tibetan Nyingma Institute, founded and established in 1973 by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku, overlooks the San Francisco Bay from a hillside just north of the University of California campus. Painted a vivid yellow, the three-story buildings have been said to resemble a Tibetan monastery. Climbing the staircase, you enter brightly colored rooms where you can sip a cup of tea, explore the many treasures of a small bookstore, or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of the sweeping views.
