Motivation:
Talend is the pioneering company in providing Open source ETL tool. It also has the enterprise version which is becoming popular amongst all the users across the globe. It is one of the top five companies having a rapid growth trend and thus fast occupying place as one of the preferred ETL tools used. It generates an optimized code in java and can be exported as standalone Java exe which can run irrespective of availability of talend. Talend has wide of range of components catering to almost all the needs of tasks like building/refreshing data warehouse, data migration and so on. Professionals working in the domain of Data warehousing, ETL development& design as well as the decision makers who need to choose amongst various available ETL tools can benefit by attending this workshop.

Faculty has over 18 years of industry experience in data warehouse design/development, ETL design and development, Database developer / architect / administrator for databases like Oracle9+, Oracle10+, Oracle11+, Mssql 2005, Mssql 2008, Postgresql.
He is a Oracle certified DBA.

He has on site work experience of working as a consultant for companies like Sony Online Entertainment (SOE, USA) to help them design and develop the ETL jobs using talend. Plus worked as a team manager on various outsourced projects to design and develop ETL jobs using talend and Informatica. Currently he is one of the director/partner of the IT Company “Endure Solutions” located in Pune.

4. Job Design
• Creating database connections
• Configuring job components and using triggers to connect them.
• Prompt for the parameter passed to the job and messages triggering
• Use of components like tMap, Bulkloaders, tFile--.
5. Others

All the items specified above will be described with some demos except the installation of TIS and the architecture of the same.
