Basement of the Tavistock Hotel, Bedford Way
London, England WC1H

The Battle of the Century continues… After 2 complete roadblock events, Livin' Proof and Work It return for their third soundclash of epic proportions. This time, we have a bigger fully-licenced venue over 2 floors- with karaoke booths, bowling lanes, and pool tables to boot… There's even rumours of a jacuzzi in the back-room. There will be the ground floor to get your drink on', have a bowl, maybe drop some bars in the karaoke booth… In the basement is where the party is, in the aptly named "Kingpin Suite". Down there we are going to bring our own custom sound-system to make sure the basement booms. Added bass. The low-end theory.

Unless you have been living under a rock or you just don't like partying in London, then the chances are that you have heard of Work It or Livin' Proof. These 2 nights are single handedly making London digging through their old record crates and raiding their shoebox collection of cassette mixtapes to re-live the glories past of of 90s Hip-Hop and RnB... Both nights have been pioneering roadblock parties in it's own seperate hemisphere. Work It's regular monthly parties have been (re)introducing Teddy Riley and Mr. Voodoo to London's hippest trend-setters. Livin' Proof's parties have been supplying beats to the true-school hip-hop heads that misses the sound of J Dilla, Tribe Called Quest and Wu Tang. Once again they return to put both sounds into the mix and see what happens.

Spinning on the night will be Livin' Proof and Work It's full crew of DJs - who all have their credentials on lock. These selectors have shared stages with Jay Electronica, Kelis, Afrika Baambaata, Just Blaze, Alchemist, Shy FX, and err… Tim Westwood… and all of that has just been in the last few months! Do not miss the jam of the year!
