Wordfest - Speak Up! September 30, 2010

A new competition for Key Stage 3 & 4, designed to test young people on their ability to communicate about important topics which affect their locality. This year’s topic is places of interest in East Hampshire which deserve recognition, improvement, or more promotion.

Small groups should assemble a presentation (which can include audio-visual aides), on a place which in their opinion deserves to be recognised as worthy of promoting to tourists as somewhere worth visiting.

They should have information on the facility, how much it costs to visit, what kind of people would find it interesting and why the place means so much to them. The judges will be looking for a smooth, fluent and well constructed presentation and will need to be persuaded!
