TOPIC: "WOMEN NURTURING WOMEN"
SPEAKERS: Sister Ambrose Stachiw, SSMI and Sister Ruth Aney, SSMI of local religious order, Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate.
TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Experienced and inspiring educators, Sister Ambrose and Sister Ruth will share stories about women. Nurturance is relatively a new focus in spiritual literature, a new way of describing interpersonal dynamics and influence. The topic was chosen to honour and celebrate the creative and nurturing spirit of women all over the world commemorated on March 8th, as International Women’s Day. The presentation will begin with a brief historical perspective on how women began to have confidence in themselves and to make a difference, then include stories about women who are models of nurturing – mentors to “women nurturing women”.
