Women for WineSense Grand Event May 3, 2008

The 2008 Women for WineSense Grand Event will highlight the best and brightest women in wine at its 2nd Annual event this Spring. Held at the legendary Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, CA, this year’s action packed weekend, “Celebrating Women in Wine” is hosted by 2008 Honorary Chair Michaela Rodeno, CEO of St. Supery Winery.

The Saturday event features panel discussions with luminaries such as Selene Vineyards Owner-Winemaker Mia Kline, Dyer Vineyards Owner-Winemaker Dawnine Dyer, Harlan Estates Vineyard Manager Mary Hall Manager and Elaine Honig, founder of Wine, Women and Shoes. Also in attendance: author, media personality and Emmy Award winner Leslie Sbrocco. If that’s not enough, learn about the latest in sustainable winemaking, taste award-winning wines from Northern California and beyond during the Grand Tasting, and meet the women behind some of today’s most coveted cult wines.

To jump start the festivities, join us on Friday evening for a Wine Reception at Paraduxx Winery. Sip wines from Paraduxx, Gloria Ferrer, Cakebread and Etude as you enjoy appetizers courtesy of Kinyon Catering.

Cap off the weekend on Sunday with behind-the-scenes private tours and tastings at Quixote Winery, Spring Mountain Winery, Swanson Vineyards, EMH Winery, Palmaz Vineyards, Paloma Vineyard, Schweiger Vineyards and St. Supery Winery.

The all star lineup of speakers reads like a who’s who in the wine world. Who knows when a rock star cast like this will be assembled again!

The price for the complete weekend package, including Friday’s Wine Reception, Saturday’s Educational Seminars, Lunch & Grand Tasting plus Sunday’s special programs is $195 ($150 for WWS members). Tickets for Saturday only are priced at $140 ($115 for WWS members).
