Women Artists - Live April 21, 2009

A tribute to women artists around the world - dance, poetry & music performance by Sanjukta Wagh, Neha John, Prajakta Bhide and Neha.

This NCPA dance week commences with poems, music, dance, visuals and narratives inspired by noted African-American woman poet Ntozake Shange works. The result is a rich mosaic of women's experiences around the world through word, melody and movement.

Come hear the voices of a gamut of women from Parvathy Baul to Joy Harjo, Begum Akhtar to Toni Morrison, from Girija Devi to Kabita Sinha, from Bahinabai Chaudhuri to Ella Fitzgerald, and others.
