Wokai Benefit Screening: Princess Bride August 21, 2008

Come and enjoy a classic movie in a lounge style theater that serves pizza and pub style refreshments and food, also learn more about a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty in rural China. The event will also include a guest speaker before the show from the Wokai organization to inform and answer questions. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Wokai to support its foundation to use micro finance to alleviate poverty in rural China. The Parkway Speakeasy Theater, at 1834 Park Blvd, Oakland, is a pub, movie, and pizza place so bring some friends but only the 21 and up please.
