WNBA Nashville Chapter & Richland Park Library Quarterly Book Club Discussion: Loving Frank by Nancy Horan September 6, 2008

“I have been standing on the side of life, watching it float by. I want to swim in the river. I want to feel the current” -writes Mamah Cheney in her diary as she struggles to justify her clandestine love affair with Frank Lloyd Wright. It began when Mamah and her husband, Edwin, commissioned the renowned architect to design a new home for them. During the construction, a powerful attraction developed, and in time the lovers, each married with children, embarked on a course that would forever change their lives.
This assured first novel by Nancy Horan, tells the story of the long-lived affair.
