With Charity for All: the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection February 19, 2010

Who was Lincoln? Since his birth on a farm in the Kentucky wilderness some 200 years ago, "Honest Abe" Lincoln lore has transformed him into an almost mythological figure. But Abraham Lincoln was much more -- he was a loyal friend, an independent son, a compassionate husband and a notoriously lenient father. The exhibit will highlight artifacts that paint a picture of an ordinary man who rose to become, perhaps, the greatest leader in American history.
