What?s better, Washington Improv Theater has created an affordable and fun way for everyone in DC to give improv a try: WIT University! The mission of the WIT University (WIT U) is to give the DC community one day to expand their knowledge of improv, to provide outstanding and innovative instruction, and to promote a climate of experimentation and growth through a broad range of styles and approaches to the craft of improv. While there is no substitute for taking a full 8-week course with the WIT Training Program, WIT U is an opportunity to sample something new without a long-term obligation.

WIT University offers over 9 workshops, for one day only, on Saturday, June 17th from 10:00 AM ? 6:00 PM. Workshops explore topics such as, Getting Out of Your Head, Public Speaking, and Improvising Through Song. All workshops are held at the Children?s Studio School at 1301 V St., NW. Each workshop is only $45.00 to register, and a $20 discount is available if you register for more than one.

WIT University is the perfect solution for people with busy lives and small budgets, who have a taste for trying something new, fun and exciting without a huge time commitment. At WIT University, students will discover a new sense of freedom and play, meet other fun and interesting people, and get away from the daily grind of the scripted city. What more can you ask for?

Registration information is available at www.washingtonimprovtheater.com. Reporters are invited to audit a WIT University Workshop at no charge; for more information contact Natasha Rothwell, Associate Artistic Director, as above.
