SE Ladd Ave & SE Harrison St
Portland, Oregon 97214

After six months of no adventures, here is the first one of 2006! Expect at least one a month from now through the summer! And those folks who went on this ride last year can tell you how much fun it was!

THE WHAT: a bicycle ride passing by the multitude of palm trees and other tropical and evergreen vegetation growing in the city, plus all the fun factoids that the Urban Adventure League is known for.

THE WHEN: Sunday, February 5th, 2006 at 11am. Ride should last about three hours, with plenty of stops.

THE WHERE: We'll be starting at Ladd's Circle Park, SE Harrison St at SE 16th Ave

THE WHY: because winter in Portland really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be! This ride is a way to prove it!

THE HOW: On your bike!

HOW TO GET THERE: Via Tri-Met 4-Division, 14-Hawthorne, or 70-12th Ave buses.

THE DETAILS: RAIN OR SHINE. Be amply prepared for the 'harsh winter weather' you may face on this day. Oh yeah, I'm not the type to encourage people to wear 'wacky tropical themed outfits' to go along with the ride, but if that's your bag, you can run with it, er, bike with it!
