"24th Annual Winterfest Holiday Carriage Parade in and around Public Square

Festive, magical sights will fill Public Square at the 24th Annual Winterfest Carriage Parade and tree lighting on Saturday, November 24th from 6 to 7 p.m. Before the parade, enjoy events at one of ten participating downtown venues featuring art, music, dance, entertainment, and refreshments. Watch over 50 Vintage horse-drawn carriages featuring a range of stately and magnificent Clydesdales including adorable miniatures in every color and size as they make a memorable trip through the heart of the city, proudly wearing their best holiday attire.

This year, the parade will travel down Ontario through Public Square and move down Superior Avenue and West 6th Street in the historic Warehouse District. This year’s Grand Marshal will be Len Barker (courtesy Cleveland Indians) who pitched a Perfect Game May 15, 1981. Cleveland’s own Michael Stanley, 98.5 WNCX Afternoon Drive Host and Musician, will be the evening’s emcee.

World-Renowned Master Guitarist Neil Zaza and Keyboard Maestro Mistheria from Italy perform scaled down selections from "Neil Zaza's One Silent Night…" immediately following the parade. Neil Zaza's appearance is courtesy of Melodik Records. See Neil Zaza's One Silent Night, including a live choir and orchestra playing your holiday favorites like you've never heard them before at the Palace Theater on December 15th. Please visit www.neilzaza.com for more information.

But the fun doesn't end there! Join us for a public after party at the 200 Public Square Building (BP Tower) where musical entertainment will be provided by The Uncanny Xe la. Santa will be there too (please bring your own camera for photos of your kids with the man in the red suit!) Other post fireworks events are being held at venues throughout the city. See an Ice Sculpting demonstration and display on East Fourth, Choral groups in the Old Stone Church, activities in the Old arcade and musical entertainment in Tower City. "
