Winter walk and Wine tasting August 5, 2006

Starting at 10.00, we will take an escorted walk on the Railway Reserve Heritage Trail from Darlington to Glen Forrest, a distance of some 5 kms. You will learn about the rich heritage of the area, and enjoy the flora and fauna of the area in a relaxed and safe environment. The walk should take about an hour.

Once we reach Glen Forrest, we will head to Avalon Vineyard for wine tasting. Avalon produce premier wines that already have an export market, and their tasting room is set at treetop height, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and forest. What a wonderful way to relax, taste some premier wines and experience this exciting area!

The tastings platters that are included are provided by Murphy’s of Mundaring, well known for their innovative and fresh food, and a perfect complement to the fine wines of Avalon Vineyard.

You will then be driven back to Darlington to collect your vehicles.
Cost: $50.00 per person all inclusive

Times: Depart Darlington at 10.00 am, wine tasting and platters from 11.30 to 1.30, arrive back in Darlington at 2.00 pm latest.
