Winter Tree ID for Birders January 15, 2011

Responding to popular demand, we offer this new outing to help birders learn winter "field marks" for some of our most notable trees and shrubs. Our outdoor classroom will be the C&O Canal, near Carderock, where we'll search for common species of trees, as well as the birds moving amongst them. If demand is high, we'll schedule other sessions when trees are in full leaf, as well as in fall foliage and fruit. Free, but registration required.
