In the depth of winter, we remember. We remember our losses and remember what endures. For this year’s longest night of the year, the performers of Winter SolsticCelebration create a sweeping tribute to John Lennon on the 30th anniversary of his passage. Attracting over a thousand people each year who come to experience the redemptive power of darkness and the regenerative nature of light, the beloved North Texas celebration is the second largest Winter Solstice gathering in the nation.
The two-hour Solstice Service showcases music, dance, poetry, ceremony, song, circus arts, storytelling, magic and participatory movement to convey the concepts that John Lennon and the Beatles championed such as peace, love, transcendence, creativity and understanding to create a deeply moving journey. An exuberant opening ceremony integrates song, spectacle, circus arts and large props in a Magical Mystery Tour.
Before and after the two-hour Solstice Service, a Yule Fest regales with live music, roving characters, and photos with Father Winter. At the Peace Zone, learn how to Imagine Peace all year long and tour the new Interfaith Peace Chapel. After the Solstice Service, the Yule Fest continues and snack food is shared as a community repast.

Bring donations of canned meat, fish and saltine crackers, plus winterwear items, for the Cathedral of Hope assistance programs. Child care available.
