Winter Shadow Art Fair December 2, 2006

The first ever Shadow Art Fair, held July 15th, 2006 at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti, was a resounding success. We got so much overwhelmingly positive feedback from the over 1,000 people in attendance and the artists involved that we’ve decided to make another one happen before another year goes by. December 2nd, to be precise. Mark your calendars.

For the Winter Shadow, the vendor area will be expanding into the other side of the brewery. This will make it less crowded and allow us to invite new artists.

The Michigan Design Militia started as a group of artists who consigned at the Ypsi/Ann Arbor shop Henrietta Fahrenheit. When HF closed its brick-and-mortar location, we decided to get together to meet each other and see if we could help each other and the local community of independent artists by sharing our resources and experiences. At some point in our meetings, the plan was hatched for a Shadow Art Fair.
