Wines and Food From the Alps in Dupont Circle February 15, 2007

We will taste red and white Alpine wines, mostly from the old kingdom of Savoy now split up between France, Italy, and Switzerland. Example of wines might include wines from Savoie, Bugey and Jura of France, wines from Aoste, Trentino and Sud Tyrol in Italy and Vaud, Valais and Ticino in Switzerland. These wines will be accompanied by typical winter alpine food such as smoked mountain-lake trout, Raclette, and Tartiflette. Please leave your skis at the entrance door!
